Who is going on this retreat?

This retreat is for romanticists looking for the sweetness of life in any form, color or flavor. Photography enthusiasts will delight in the walking photo tours, history lovers will be filled with wonder by the cultural elements and foodies sated with wonderful meals al fresco. Couples ready for passionate embraces in one of the most romantic places in the world are more than welcome.

where is the hotel?

The Conventi Di Amalfi is located in the town of Amalfi overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

How do i get there?

Naples International airport (NAP) is about an hour and a half away by car. Most major cities have non-stop flights there. Private transport will be provided for you from the airport to the hotel.

When should I get there?

Most flights from the US are overnight and arrive in the morning, usually before 10am. If you are coming from Europe, please book a flight that arrives before noon. Our airport transport will pick-up at 11am and 1pm. If you are arriving after 1pm, we can arrange transport for you for about 80 euros.

Contact Travellur for additional travel service if you need assistance with flights, want to extend your trip or have complicated travel plans in conjunction with this retreat.

Since everyone will probably have different transport needs after the retreat, return airport transfer is not included in the price of the retreat. Once you have confirmed your place with a payment, Travellur will provide recommended transport options from Amalfi and Capri. The respective hotels can also arrange transport.  If staying a bit longer in Italy sounds like the best idea you’ve had in ages, Travellur can arrange discounted prices at the hotel to extend your stay. If you wish to continue touring other parts of Europe, Travellur can make private arrangements for you according to your budget.

We will be sharing most meals at the hotel and in local restaurants. There will always be a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. If you have food restrictions, please inform us when booking and we will do our best to accommodate you. There will also be one free evening where you will have the opportunity to strike out on your own and try that charming little trattoria that was calling your name or take a night off and indulge in room service. Italian food is famously delicious and we will be sampling some of the best the region has to offer. If you are gluten-free, you’ll be pleased to find many gluten-free options at most restaurants. Travellur understands and respects food limitations and can advise you further, please contact us.

What language are we talking?

The retreat and workshops will be conducted in English. .

What is the local currency?

Italy uses the Euro. Withdrawing cash from an ATM at the airport is recommended for best rates. Getting all the cash you need for the retreat in Provence is a good idea. We will be touring a breathtakingly beautiful region but ATMs are few and far between..

What should i wear?

We will be visiting lovely hillside and seaside locations in spring when the daytime temperatures are in the 70’s. Wearing comfortable layers is advisable since mornings and evenings can be cool and midday sunshine very warm. Nighttime lows are in the 50’s, so bring a light jacket. Be sure to have at least one pair of sensible shoes as there will be a good deal of walking. Rain is pretty unlikely.
